Preserving the Harvest at Stone Soup Farm 

A weekend celebrating apple inspired food, artisan workshops and farm activities

It’s time to bring out the big copper kettle and make our signature apple butter. Join us for apple butter making, cider pressing, cooking demonstrations and  seasonal crafts. Warm up by the bonfire with our signature drinks while roasting marshmallows for our famous apple butter s’mores. Enjoy folk music under a canopy of golden leaves as we celebrate the closing of our harvest season.

  All parking is along Oak Glen Road in parking margins. Guests with special accommodations may be dropped off in front along the turn around. 

Farm Activities 

Apple Butter Making

 Using our antique copper kettle, we will spend the day rendering down our signature blend of apple butter. Assist our farm staff in churning the butter as we add fresh cider and those special ingredients to make this most treasured preserve.


Apple Butter will be sold in our Marketplace Marquee.

Cooking Demonstartions

 Cooking with fire is elemental to all people and has rich cultural traditions world wide. Learn about some various tools and methods we use on the farm to prepare our food. We'll be making cream scones over a cast iron skillet, finishing with fresh fruit preserves.

Winter Wreath Making Class

Pre-Registration Required 

Decking our halls and doorways with winter greens has long been a tradition in homes. Drawing inspiration from nature, learn how to create a signature wreath using fresh evergreens, foraged stems and soft accents. Share an afternoon on the farm with floral enthusiasts alike!


This course is perfect for the beginner and for those wishing to further their experience. Workshop will be held inside our cozy Marquee Tent. All course materials are provided for and everyone takes home their own unique wreath.
