Craft Club is a program designed to reignite the wonders of nature to youth through unique outdoor experiences. This on-going series rotates activities and curriculum based on the seasons, which inspires a stronger connection with the Earth. Natural play spaces encourage young people to understand their physical environment while promoting growth and self identity as a part of the greater world. Our interactive programming invites youth to create art with natural materials, engage with diverse plant life, and participate in seasonal folk craft.

CREATIVE CRAFTING

Inspired by the season, children will create an autumnal miniature garden to take home. Little wooden houses adorned with moss, flowers, gems with spooky little accents are provided for each child to decorate. A small ceramic dish with plantings are provided for children to create a landscape for their garden home.

EXPLORATIVE PLAY

Our Children's Garden has several interactive play spaces for kids to engage in creative play.  This garden invites kids to create art with natural materials, discover miniature landscapes, and play among woodland structures. Gemstone panning is the highlighted activity for this portion of the program, offering light water play while exploring geoscience.

FOLK WAYS

Sharing stories around a campfire is an ancient tradition for all of us. We will gather around the farm camp to read stories of folk lore while roasting marshmallows for s'mores. A time to share laughter and food together.
