as we continue the rich legacy of Oak Glen's farming history through exploring the domestic arts of early America.

Scavenger Hunt

Stroll through historical vignette sites on our farm and search for various artifacts. Discover the who, what and why behind these tools, while enjoying the beautiful apple blossoms in our Winesap orchard.  

Garden Time 

Learn from our Master Gardner on many topics including: apple farming, water wise landscaping basics, kitchen gardens and much more. Each person will have a chance to pot up their own seed starter to take home.  

Candle Dipping

Visit with a farmhand and learn the history behind candle making with an emphasis on beeswax. We will be demonstrating how to make candles from scratch using antique implements. Enjoying dipping your own candle to take home.  

Ice Cream Making

Considered to be one of the most popular desserts in America but this was not always the case. Ice cream's popularity soared during the late 18th century in New England. Assist us in the process of making and tasting a classic historical treat.

 Savor your experience on the farm by taking a piece of it home with you. Our pop up shop offers seasonally fresh foods, artisan soaps, candles and select handmade goods.

Hand crafted sweet treats, refreshing drinks and delicious confections will be available at our farm stand. 


While visiting the farm, make sure to stop by our sluice boxes for gemstone panning. Also enjoy select crafts under our canopy of alder trees.

Soap Making Workshop

Spend the morning discovering the art of creating aromatic, healing soap using essential oils and botanicals. Taught by owner Faith Riley. We will incorporate our farm grown florals for a unique bar. 


This course is a perfect fit for the beginning soap maker and those who wish to learn about all natural body products. Class will begin with going through the cold process method and soap making equipment. Once we've gone through this material, we will begin making a  batch of soap. 


Each participant will receive their own 5 ounce bar of soap to take home. 

All materials are provided. Refreshments included.

Stone Soup Farm & Heritage Orchard is not able to offer refunds for events after the date of purchase or credit for future events. Stone Soup Farm & Heritage Orchard may make exceptions to this policy in extenuating circumstances at Stone Soup Farm’s sole discretion.

Cancellation Policy 

While cancellation is unlikely, in the event of heavy rain or other circumstances, Stone Soup Farm holds the right to cancel the event. If Stone Soup Farm must cancel the event for any reason, a full refund will be issued to each participant.
