Here are the days where leaves turn to gold and fires burn bright... We polish our old copper kettle and season the cast iron skillet to prepare the last of fall's harvest.

Join us for a post harvest social featuring food preservation workshops, late harvest tasting menu and land-based crafting for all ages. For centuries people lived off the land; eating regionally, preserving harvests, and maintaining artisan skills that shaped their communities. We invite you to lend a hand in preparing traditional apple butter,

dip candles and learn how to make rope using sisal fibers.

A day to enjoy food cooked over open fire amongst golden trees.

Meet with Chef Charlie Ray for a class in how to prepare zero waste foods with an emphasis on preservation techniques. Traditional kitchens from across the globe embrace eating seasonally while understanding that pickling, fermenting, and preserving are also important techniques that support healthy bodies. This class is an introduction to such methods and ways of thinking; an invitation to reconnect ourselves to the food that nourishes our bodies. At Stone Soup Farm, we are always seeking opportunities to share and collaborate with knowledgable artisans in pursuit of a more wholesome living off the land. Please join us for this exciting class on a crisp autumn day.
